so i don’t know about you… but monday’s are NOT my favorite days of the week. particularly when i had a great weekend!
no major probs at work… just hard to get in the groove of it all and well… usually at the end of a monday workshift i am feeling a bit worn out.
needless to say i was quite happy to be in my car, heading home.
got home to find kitties have been sleeping all day! that’s usually what happens when no one is home with them. so… i poured myself a glass of belgium beer, grabbed the tiny sony laptop that has ubuntu on it and brought kitties outside onto the patio with me.
we’ve been hanging out here for sometime now… glass of beer is now gone. MMMMmmm… it was tastie! when we first came out the sun was fully out and not a cloud in the sky. then a really cool cloud pattern began. that’s something i’ve noticed here in san diego… the sky can be quite beautiful and diverse.
well… the sun is now fading away and i’ve turned on the porch light. kitties are still with me but i can sense they are not use to nighttime outside!!!
the whole time out here i kept thinking to myself how quiet it is tonight. just very quiet and peaceful. it’s been nice.
so i will be gathering the little bundles back into the house shortly… will probably eat a light snack for dinner and head upstairs to my office. probably poke around with the music server some then pull out one of my guitars to dabble a bit.

so i very much was looking forward to this weekend. can’t really say it was a terrible or a rough week… i just had this overwhelming tired feeling. wanting to kick back, relax…
well, except that i very much wanted to really take on my new inline skates. i’d been peeking on the net for an inside rink that allowed both skates and blades. FOUND IT! SKATEWORLD.
so we went friday night. didn’t know what to expect as far as atmosphere, the crowd, etc. i was also pretty scared of sucking really bad, looking silly, falling, hurting myself. LOL!
well… first lap was ROUGH! almost fell down as i rounded the first curve. was wobbly. but then i got into the hang of it. not that it was pretty or anything! but we skated for about an hour and a half… then we both knew i needed to call it quits. i was getting worn out to the point where i was going back to ‘wobbly’ again.
we both had a blast… even though we were pretty much the oldest creatures out there! LOL! all these young kids flying all over the place, trying to be all cool, doing their socializing thing. hehe. was funny to watch.
today my legs are TIRED! spent a good deal of time doing full body stretching. that was good. then we made a nice, light lunch. then off to the INDIE MUSIC FESTIVAL that was in our neighborhood… NORTH PARK!
then we had to come back so that we could make it to our pedicure appointment at LULU’s. what? kellie? pedicure? SO!
now i’m just chilling for a bit. me and harley. will probably watch a movie tonight. nice and quiet. tomorrow we plan on doing a bike ride…

well… it’s been one long, bumpy road to finally getting our house-wide music system truly functional. maybe it’s better to say “house-tall” since so much of the struggle has been covering a 3 story condo!
now i can relax into getting all the music onto the music server.
our music system specs:
– netgear wpn824 router
– linksys nslu2
– western digital 250gb harddrive
– coolmax external hdd enclosure
– (2) roku m1001 soundbridge music players
– unSlung 6.8
– twonkymusic music server

the router, network storage link, external harddrive and one roku music player is on the second floor. the other roku music player is on our first floor. on the third floor, my office, i have my desktop streaming through my m-audio studio monitors.
so far i’ve been able to test simultaneous streams playing through both roku music players without any hiccups!
i will keep you posted as this progresses.
